Alejandro “Alex” J. Fernandez is Board Certified in Intellectual Property and a Registered Patent Attorney. Alex focuses on intellectual property litigation, protection and transactional matters. Alex has counseled numerous individuals, private and public companies, and governmental bodies in patent, trademark, copyright, and Internet related matters.

Serving for years as head of a major Florida law firm's intellectual property practice group, Alex has represented numerous clients in federal, multi-district, and rocket docket litigations. In addition, Alex has also advised clients regarding intellectual property issues arising in technology licensing, private equity funding and other complicated corporate transactions. Alex was selected by The Florida Bar to serve on the Intellectual Property Law Board Certification Committee.

Alex has experience in the fields of software, electronics, medical sciences, biomaterials, assays, photovoltaics, and general mechanical technology. Alex is a former intern for the Honorable Randall R. Rader, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, a former associate of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione (Chicago, IL) and a former law clerk of Garrigues & Andersen (Madrid, Spain).
