BRENNAN J. (JB) DONNELLY has over 29 years of experience in commercial litigation and labor and employment law. Mr. Donnelly is an experienced litigator who has tried to verdict numerous jury and non jury trials. He has represented international companies and governmental entities in the defense of industrial property claims, including trade name and trade secret claims, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Rehabilitation Act, actions under Chapter 760, Florida Statutes, sovereign immunity and the 11th Amendment.
He was Chief of the State of Florida, Office of the Attorney General, Employment Litigation Branch. Prior to entering government service in the Office of the Attorney General, he was the managing partner of a successful private law firm in Tampa.
Among some of the major corporations and governmental entities for whom he has tried cases are: Waste Management, Inc.; Siemens Medical Systems, Inc.; EarthCare Environmental Systems; Phar-Mor, Inc.; National Car Rental Systems; Allianz Insurance Company; CNA Insurance Company; Managed Comp, Inc., Kemper Insurance Group and Republic Industries; The Executive office of the Governor; The Department of Financial Services; The Department of Corrections; The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; The University of Florida; The Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission, The Florida Highway Patrol and The Department of Transportation.
Mr. Donnelly also served in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot and as an officer and military lawyer for the California and Florida National Guards.
