Javier Sobrado is passionate about technology, studying a broad variety of topics, including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems and VLSI design, en route to an A.B. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Harvard University. After graduating, he specialized his computer programming knowledge by working on three published video game titles, including Civilization III, developing user interfaces, in-game help databases, AI routines and even writing an assembly level translucency algorithm.
Mr. Sobrado has applied his love for technology to his law practice, immersing himself in the study of internet and patent law while at the University of Miami School of Law and writing papers on the legal issues surrounding Massively Multiplayer Online Games. He began his career with the firm as a Law Clerk under our 2006 Summer Associate Program. Upon completion of his Juris Doctorate, he became an Associate and is now focusing his practice on Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Litigation.
An avid traveler, fluent in Spanish and English, Mr. Sobrado has studied in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain and has visited Central and South America, Europe and South East Asia.
