Feldman Gale Name Partners Make 2006 Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” List

MIAMI, FL – The intellectual property law firm of Feldman Gale is pleased to announce that firm Founders Jeffrey Feldman and James Gale have been selected for inclusion in the 2006 Florida Trend's “Legal Elite” for Intellectual Property Rights.

Feldman is a former federal prosecutor focusing his practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent and technology licensing disputes, as well as complex commercial disputes and civil RICO litigation. In addition to Legal Elite, Feldman has also been listed as a Best Lawyers in America®, top lawyer by Florida Super Lawyer, and South Florida Legal Guide’s “Top Lawyers in South Florida.” He received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida and a law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law, where he also was a member of the University of Florida Law Review.

Gale is a registered patent attorney who focuses his legal practice on matters particular to intellectual property litigation and the national medical device industry. He was the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Florida Bar for the last two years andis a member of the Executive Council of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar. Gale has been consistently voted as a member of Florida Trend Magazine’s “Legal Elite.” Gale has also been voted as a Best Lawyer in America®, Florida Super Lawyer, “Top Lawyers in South Florida” by South Florida Legal Guide and was recently named to the United States Lawyer Rankings 2006 list of the nation’s Top 10 Intellectual Property Lawyers.

He has served as outside general counsel while working in a national law firm, as well as serving directly as Vice President and Corporate Counsel of a major medical device manufacturer. While in private practice he has successfully represented companies in cases around the country involving patents, trademarks and copyrights, covenants not to compete, and theft of trade secrets.

Gale has an undergraduate degree in microbiology and cell science and a law degree from the University of Florida, where he currently serves as a Faculty Advisor to UF’s College of Law Intellectual Property Certificate Program.
