FELDMAN GALE ATTORNEYS PRESENT AT THE FLORIDA BAR’S IP LAW CERTIFICATION REVIEW

MIAMI, FL - Jeffrey Feldman and Gregory Hillyer, partners with the intellectual property firm of Feldman Gale, are scheduled to speak at The Florida Bar’s Intellectual Property Law Certification Review, being held July 19-20, 2007 at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.  They will be addressing “The Litigation of Patent Infringement Claims” at the event, presented by the Florida Bar Continuing Education Committee and the Business Law Section.

This is the inaugural year for the IP Law Certification Committee, which is chaired by Feldman Gale founding partner James A. Gale.  Florida is the first state that has created Board Certification for intellectual property attorneys, which includes committee members reviewing the credentials of candidates and the candidates passing a comprehensive exam.

Feldman is a former federal prosecutor focusing his practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent and technology licensing disputes, as well as complex commercial disputes and civil RICO litigation.  He has been named a top lawyer in the intellectual property field by such notable publications as Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend Magazine, The South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Super Lawyers.

Feldman received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law, where he also was a member of the University of Florida Law Review.

Hillyer, a Registered Patent Attorney, focuses his practice in the field of patent law including litigation, procurement, client counseling, licensing, due diligence and opinion work.  Before practicing law, Hillyer worked as a chemist for DuPont Merck Research Laboratories and an Adjunct Professor at Wingate University.  He has been named a Top Up and Coming attorney by The South Florida Legal Guide and a top lawyer by Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite.

Hillyer received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, his B.S. degree from the State University of New York and his M.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
